O2 have cut the connection fee on their free laptop mobile broadband packages.
O2 previously required that new customers who signed up to one of their free laptop deals had to pay a small connection fee to get the service up and running, this now isn’t required.
Currently O2 stock both the Asus 1005H and Samsung R519 laptops on their free deals, which are available on either the 3MB mobile broadband plan or the 10GB option.
The Asus 1005H netbook features a 10-inch screen, 160GB hard drive and built-in webcam. The netbook is available free with 3GB of monthly download allowance priced at £25, or £35 a month on the 10GB tariff. Both packages include a 500MB monthly wireless hotspot allowance.
The Samsing R519 is a fully featured laptop that includes a 15.6-inch screen, 250GB hard drive, DVD drive and built-in webcam. The R519 laptop is available on the O2 3GB tariff priced at £35 a month, and the 10GB tariff priced at £45 a month. Both tariffs include unlimited Wi-Fi as standard.
All of the O2 mobile broadband free laptop deals include a 30-day Happiness Guarantee and 1 month’s free access to the O2 Techies service.
