Tesco have this week announced that they’ve increased their broadband speeds to 20Mb and have lowered their pricing down to just £8 a month.
Tesco have re-launched their outdated packages which now include two broadband and home phone bundles featuring up to 20Mb broadband speeds with “unlimited broadband” download allowances (subject to fair usage).
Both broadband packages include the same features but offer customers the choice of either evening and weekend calls or inclusive anytime landline calls for a total of either £8 or £12 a month.
Both bundles are available as part of Tesco line rental at £11 a month as part of an 18-month contract.
Tesco Clubcard users can also earn points when signing up to the Tesco Broadband service, with subscribers able to earn 1,500 points when signing up and a subsequent point for every £1 spent on the bill.

In case it is of interest to anyone, I have recently contacted Tesco about their new Tesco Broadband Packages and have been informed that these packages do not include any email addresses. They recommend that I set up a free web based email address instead.

It’s worse than that. I have been with Tesco for 5 years and am on their old packages with a 2MB maximum. If you want 20MBs they delete your email addresses the day you move. Given the whole family have email addresses, including the kids, this is absolutely awful customer service. They said ‘get a free web based one’ but deleting 5 email addresses we have had for 5 years and hundreds of people and businesses (online gas, online electricity…) have, with zero grace period is not good. Any ideas? Can someone tell their customer service manager that treating your most loyal customers in this way is bad!

Ask themto downgrade you to a pay as you go package, with tesco.net. You will keep your email address, however tesco braodband is ok but not great. Poor billing systems, lack of knowledgeable staff and a really poor router
